Multi-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Stretch Of I-95 In Virginia

A stretch of I-95 was shut down on Stafford County during the Friday afternoon commute due to a multi-vehicle crash, officials say.

The southbound lanes of the interstate were closed at around 5:40 p.m. on Oct. 25 in Stafford, where there was a massive crash investigation and cleanup in the area.

It was reported around mile marker 145.7.

According to the Virginia DOT, motorists can expect delays due to a multi-vehicle crash that closed the north left lane, center lane, right lane, and right shoulder.

Traffic backups were approximately six miles with traffic getting by only on the left shoulder.
